Studio Art 4 Blog#6

     This week, I am in the process of creating my second piece. The second piece's theme is grief and healing. I am exploring the pain people feel when they lose someone important in their lives as well as the healing that comes with it. This piece includes six individual portraits; three on grief and three on healing. The media are charcoal, color pencils, and conte crayons on paper. I need to create the layout for two more pictures, finish rendering, and crop them.
The challenge I met with was drawing with charcoal. I have not used charcoal since summer, so I was a bit rusty. Also, I was having proportion problems for the portraits.
